Oh, hell – on second thought, there is more to be said. Let’s add a few more reasons to this guy’s list:

13. I voted Democratic because I believe that America is a selfish country that only got to where it is today by bullying and exploiting the rest of the world.

14. I voted Democratic because I believe it is the governments’ right to force Catholic organizations to provide birth control and abortion benefits for employees who choose to work for those organizations of their own free will.

15. I voted Democratic because I believe its perfectly okay for a crucifix submerged in urine to be on display at the Smithsonian Institution, but not okay for a manger to be on display in a public square.

16. I voted Democratic because I believe it’s racist when conservatives criticize black liberals for their political views, but it’s not racist when Chris Rock calls white people “crackers” and “honkies.”

17. I voted Democratic because I believe Israel is the aggressor in the Middle East and should not respond when terrorist groups fire rockets into Israeli civilian areas.

18. I voted Democratic because I believe that Republicans hate blacks, Hispanics, gays and lesbians.

19. I voted Democratic because of the Republican war on women.

20. I voted Democratic because I believe that the U.S. Constitution is outdated and much too simplistic to deal with today’s complex issues.

21. I voted Democratic because I don’t have a problem with black people wishing each other “Happy Kwanzaa,” but I get extremely angry whenever someone wishes me “Merry Christmas.”

22. I voted Democratic because I don’t believe that the top 1% of wage earners, who make less than 20% of total income, but pay nearly 40% of total taxes are paying anywhere near their “fair share.”

23. I voted Democratic because I believe that the concept of “American Exceptionalism” is arrogant and embarrassing.

24. I voted Democratic because I respect the freedom of expression of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Paganism, Atheism, Wicca, Polytheism – just to name a few – but I go crazy whenever I see anything Christian that can remotely be misconstrued as a violation of the separation of church and state.

25. I voted Democratic because Republicans suck – big time!

There, that’s a bit more complete now, isn’t it? Feel free to add your “Why I Voted Democratic” reasons in the comment section, folks.

  1. I voted democrat because I didn’t want to be called a racist, homophobe, women hater. I voted democrat because “I need my pot to be legal”, so I can go to work and operate that crane stoned. I voted democrat because I want my health care to be equivalent to that of a third world country. I voted democrat because I want the gov’t to pay for me to learn spanish. I voted democrat because my “drug dealing” boyfriend, and “baby daddy” needed a phone. I voted democrat because the “CULT” insisted that I do. I voted Democrat because “I think sheep are cute”, so wanted to be a ‘sheeple” myself. and the best reason of all I VOTED DEMOCRAT BECAUSE I AM PROUD TO BE STUPIDER THAN A STUMP.

  2. I voted democratic, not just because Catholics should be forced to provide me with birth control if I work for them, but because that whole organization is our of touch, oppressive and led by men.

Sorry…couldn’t resist…and many of the people saying these things sit in the pews with us every Sunday.

And Christians go on rails during the primary to play the Mormonism Is Cult [Santorum and Gingrich – others remain silent except Ron Paul who has his own issues by his association with extremist which he claims do not exist], Ann Coulter is comfortable with Jews, but think they need more perfecting, several candidates spoke about women’s built in ability to self-terminate the pregnancy of “legitimate rape”, Atheists, because of their minority status are stealing everyone’s fun – not because there may be constitutional issues over how the public square is used. I recognize that our founders used the word God, some preferred the God of Nature or Nature’s God – see Declaration of Independence.

Instead of people thinking Republicans suck, perhaps, they simply think that many of them are riding off the rails on Ozzy Osborne’s “crazy train” and have become more frightened or turned off by such primitive thinking that they dare not take the chance and vote for a Republican majority out of fear. Do you think these things and others like them could have been a factor in the vote totals and the reason whey many moderates opted to stay home rather than vote for either Devil?

When all of this nonsense took center stage with abortion rights and contraception debates, the economy was pushed aside and almost forgotten about for months. That, compounded by some luck on Obama’s part [to the dismay and misfortune of the hurricane victims almost assured Romney his loss and with that, several Senate seats that otherwise would have been sure things but for the narcissism and divine conceit by the candidates of the far right. C’est la vie. The same thing happened with Angle in NV, O’Donnell in DE and some others in the mid-terms…you know what they say about doing the same thing over and over…and still the far right gets to spin the wheel and dictate the party planks.

Just thinking out loud because doing so quietly just doesn’t transmit well face to face or blog to blog.

  4. p.s. I voted democrat because I wanted to vote for a COMPLETE FAILURE, and throw all my alleged morals to the way side, I AM HISPANIC, and I want some of the FREE STUFF.

  5. I voted Democratic because everything that hasn’t worked in Europe should be tried here anyway.

  6. Oops…must have wandered into the wrong meeting somehow. I didn’t vote Democrat, which proves what a loser I am, right?
