Boko Haram Wraps Up Another Year Of Slaughtering Christians: Where’s The Outcry From The Left?

nigeria-violence-2009-7-28-10-40-55

Remember the almost immediate condemnation of Israel by much of the haughty liberal establishment for its retaliatory strikes against Hamas this past November? Our moral watchdogs on the left couldn’t help but get their collective panties in a wad because the Jewish state had the unbelievable audacity to respond with force to the terrorist organization’s unprovoked firing of hundreds of rockets into Israeli cities and neighborhoods.

How dare Israel defend itself – much less destroy the cache of rockets being rained down on its civilian population on a daily basis.

Which brings us to Boko Haram, an organization I’d venture to guess most Americans have never even heard of – much less, anything about the unspeakable atrocities it commits and against whom it commits them. I wonder why that is?

You don’t suppose it has anything to do with the liberal media, by chance, do you?

“People Committed to the Propagation of the Prophet’s Teachings and Jihad” is a Nigerian terrorist organization (yes, O, there are still Islamic terrorist organizations in the world that commit unspeakable atrocities) which is better known by its Hausa name: “Boko Haram” – or “Western education is sinful.”

Can you see where this is headed?

While Boko Haram’s stated objective is the overthrow of the Nigerian government  – which it plans to replace with a regime based on Islamic law, its favorite activity in the meantime is slaughtering Christians – with the preferred techniques being bombing, burning or spraying gunfire into churches during worship services.

Here’s a partial list of Boko Haram’s attacks against Christians – just in 2012:

January 5-6: Churches and Christians businesses attacked; 37+ dead

January 20: Churches and Christian businesses attacked; 185 dead

April 8: Church bombed on Easter Sunday; 38 dead

June 17: Three churches bombed; 19 dead

July 7: Christian villages attacked; 100+ dead

August 7: Church attacked, pastor killed; 19 dead

December 25: Christmas shootings at two churches; 12 dead

For those who you keeping score at home, Boko Haram has killed more than 1,000 Christians since 2009, according to Human Rights Watch.

The last time I heard O speak out against this genocide – oh, wait – that hasn’t happened. Never mind.

Anyway, I also don’t recall any liberal media lapdogs or Hollywood moonbats condemning this Muslim terrorist group or any of its attacks, do you? Hell – Tingles Matthews wouldn’t even come out of the closet last year over the slaughter of more than 400 Christians at the hands of Islamic terrorists. Too bad the killers weren’t Republicans.

Incidentally, Boko Haram has already kicked off 2013 with a bang, killing at least 19 in an attack on a village in northern Nigeria. Sadly, none of those killed were Palestinian “refugees.” If they had been – perhaps America’s liberals would be enraged.

  1. Since the Left is using its Presidency attacking Christian and Jewish institutions in the U.S. I suppose the reaction toward Boko Haram and toward what is happening without publicity, in Egypt and around the middle East,is mostly appreciation of the help toward a shared goal…

And those now applauding the government extirpating the religions they don’t like, will be the first to howl when it comes time to clamp down on what they do like…

An another note, hasn’t Judeo-Christianity always dwindlde until it is revived over the dead bodies of its martyrs bearing witness?

Human law should be the arbiter of human affairs and not divine law. Sharia is finished for the Muslim Brothers, who state that they embrace equality of all citizens without distinction between religions or gender. endMr. Landis, is English not your first language.I noticed you did not use an article in the first sentence of your article. Classic Arabic-user gaffe. What a pretty lie to begin the day!”Covenant” = an agreement between a powerful entity and the much less powerful. What a marvelous expression of arrogance! This is pack of lies followed by a demand for submission.Nothing more.

  2. Oh, it’s just Christians,,,nothing to see here, move along.

    God is watching.
