Congress may be in summer recess, but that doesn’t mean some congresscritters aren’t working.
Reps. Darrell Issa and Jim Jordan have sent a letter (I know, they didn’t send armed soldiers) to both the IRS and the Federal Elections Commission (FEC) demanding the release of Lois Lerner’s emails by August 21. Here’s Jordan on Greta last night:
Greta is correct that a letter during the summer recess seems a little odd, but it is now very obvious that play time is over and the adults in Congress want answers. To this scandal anyway.
(Anyone who deals with modern technology knows that years worth of emails can be downloaded onto a thumb drive in a matter of minutes. The IRS is just foot dragging away.)
And here we thought the Foggy Bottom Summer of Scandal had gone dark for a few weeks.
Stay tuned for more on Benghazi-gate. More there too.
