God help us
You can’t make this stuff up:
Pelosi went on from there to spin the law that 55% of Americans now say they wish had never passed. Pelosi even went as far as sound out the nation’s Founding Fathers in supporting the unpopular healthcare law.
“[T]he law is very sound policy. To go to back to our founders once again, they sacrificed it all for life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. This law, the affordable care act, is about a healthier life, the liberty to pursue your happiness. That is solid policy, and the mandate is central to that,” Pelosi said.

Is she kidding? No one is going to get healthier under the “Affordable” Care Act. In fact, we’ve been getting sicker for years, ObamaCare or no, thanks to chemical companies directing our food supply never mind the number of physicians retiring in record numbers just so that they don’t have to deal with the new law.
Liberty to pursue happiness? Happiness for many Americans is having a system where a families stay together and are stable thanks to an economy that supports bread winners earning a higher than living wage. ObamaCare, as noted by the CBO last week, stifles that. It strips liberty from earnings potential.
ObamaCare also transfers wealth by force from those who work, produce and help others to government, to be “redistributed” down a rathole, most of which might make it out in the form of entitlement benefits or salaries to public service workers (which will pump it back into the economy, but the price is high), but in general just disappears.
And Nimrod Nancy Pelosi thinks George Washington, John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, Benjamin Franklin, John Jay, and a whole host of others who are on record revolting against invasive government and fought one to win the freedom to fashion a republic unique in the history of civilization would approve of a law that commands a full sixth of the nation’s economy?
The Federalist Papers means nothing to the nitwit? (She probably hasn’t read it.)
How stupid does this woman think we are?
This is one of the most powerful women in American government.
Anyone else need a drink? (Quick! Before it ends up on the ObamaCare questionaire as a prequalifying habit.)
